Circular from the Secretary of State, transmitting in reply to one from this Government, a copy of the Board of Trade Regulation relative to the certificates, return of cancelled certificates, &c.
Your Lordship will observe that Captain Ransome considers it advisable that a similar regulation should be adopted here, in order that the practice at home and in British possessions abroad should not differ, but he appears to apprehend that much difficulty may arise if certificates issued or granted here are not under the same conditions as those granted under the Imperial Acts.
The Board of Trade will issue all instructions in connection with such regulation as may be necessary.
The Order in Council and instructions issued under it, which accompanied Your Lordship's despatch, have been published in the Government Gazette.
